Distilling Rye Whiskey on a Continuous Column from Specific Mechanical

We were brought in to help the folks at Ponfeigh Distillery in Somerset PA start up their continuous column still that was built by Specific Mechanical. This lovely still was designed for distilling world class rye whiskey and bourbon. Over several days we helped test and start up the still. Once the still was operational we brought it online and distilled a few dozens barrels of Rye whiskey with the Ponfeigh Distillery team alongside the Specific Mechanical team.

The equipment ran great and we had lots of fun helping the team to get the equipment running while also training them on continuous column distillation theory.
